About the Cemetery
Located about 8 km and a 20 minute drive east of Jerusalem
Adjacent to the city, recently completed renovations and expansion and is now selling burial plots to Jews from abroad who wish to be buried in Israel (after 120 years).
This innovative and well-kept cemetery exclusively provides ground burials. It features a large parking lot, easy access to graves and is fully wheelchair accessible. You can access (Please ask the agent whihc will guide you) a specialized app to locate individual graves.
The beautiful view from the cemetery overlooks the city of Jerusalem, Mount Olives and the Judean desert. This cemetery is the closest cemetery to the Temple Mount outside of Jerusalem!

Jewish Tradition & Halachik Observance at the Cemetery
The Cemetery is committed to working with each family to ensure an honorable and respectable funeral service. From the moment that the deceased arrives in Israel, they will be under the respectful and diligent care of trained professionals.
All procedures adhere to the highest standards of Halacha (Jewish Law) and Israeli Law. If needed, a “Tahara” can be arranged at Shamgar Funeral Home in Jerusalem. During the funeral service, every effort will be made to respect family customs, provided they do not contradict Halacha. Additionally, there is access throughout the cemetery for “Kohanim” as you can see at the image attached.
